Clock (a.k.a CLOCK) is a typeface that started with numbers and arrows, which is usually not the case for the general type design process. "oldgranny" is the earliest version of CLOCK, with no diacritics available. Its appearance is playful but not so easy to play with. CLOCK-chichi is a pretentious version of CLOCK, just like its name — chichi.
CLOCK is a typeface initially inpired by → a cereamic wallclock designed by Margarete Heymann-Loebenstein
Xiaoyuan's note:
CLOCK-oldgranny is the first typeface I have made, its quirkiness comes from the younger version of me, knowing very little about the "standards"/ "rules" of type design, (tbh, I still don't know much about it. It's okay, and it's a choice. ) This typeface is done by intuition, pleasure, and passion of "just wanted to make something that I can use it for typing".
Do you sometimes miss your clumsiness?
